A niche Falmouth coffee brand has this week gone national.

Since opening for business in early 2010, Falmouth-based gaming café Loading has been developing its own brand of ‘geek chic’ coffee by finding and mixing beans from around the world and asking for its customers’ feedback and opinions.

The result, 9-Bit Coffee, a mix of nine different coffee beans, has proved so popular that café owner James Dance has now made it available nationally through the Firebox.com website.

And Firebox category buyer Ben Redhead has high hopes for the product. He said: “With Firebox priding ourselves on being able to find retro, cool and innovative products from around the globe, offering 9-Bit Coffee from Loading was a no-brainer.

“Our customers love retro gaming products as well as their unique food and drink lines so after being taken on a throw-back to the 90’s with its amazing packaging and presentation, 9-Bit Coffee will be right at home on Firebox.”
