A Cornish CD and record store is proving there is still a strong demand for more traditional musical media, by expanding into new larger premises.

Despite the advent of the MP3, Truro-based independent retailer Music Nostalgia has been reporting growing demand for its range of CDs and vinyl.

Proprietor Pete Willis said: “We started out on the internet in 1999 and ran a stall in Truro Flea Market. This proved very successful and we took a unit in Truro Pannier Market.

“Business has been brisk as word has got around about the service we provide. Our stock has grown and we are bursting out of our unit. More customers and more stock, hence the move!”

Music Nostalgia, which carries a wide range, from classical to jazz, from easy listening to rock, will be holding a brief opening ceremony for its new Pannier Market store on Saturday, January 21 at 10.30am.
