An internet-based furniture business is set to open a showroom in Truro.
Sustainable Furniture, which sells an extensive collection of solid teak indoor and outdoor furniture, was started by Margaret Larson after she was made redundant in 2007.
Following a positive response from exhibiting at the recent Cornwall Home Show, she decided a larger bricks and mortar presence, where people could come and see the furniture, would be good for business.
She said: “I have furniture stocked in warehouses in three different locations in Cornwall and had reached a point where I needed to consolidate my stock.
“The showroom at Malpas is large enough for my purposes and covers the catchment area for Truro shoppers. We’ll be hoping to do a lot of business from there.”
The new showroom, at the former County Pine premises on Malpas Road, opens on September 1.
Jon Ball of Miller Commercial negotiated the lease off a guide price of £18k per annum.
