Trevena Cross Nurseries & Garden Centre is adopting a new marketing strategy to engage with its customers.

The garden centre, based in Breage near Heltson, has recently recruited a new graduate through the Unlocking Cornish Potential (UCP) programme, to be solely focussed on the marketing function of the business.

Owner Graham Jeffery said: “While the values that underpin the garden centre, such as excellent customer service, have guided its operations since we established the business in 1976, our communication of these values and on-going engagement with our customers has not been given as much time as we’d like.”

“We hope that with someone constantly looking at the business from a customer perspective, and how we can best communicate with our customers, we will be able to build positive relationships – and encourage new and existing clients to keep in touch more frequently.”
