Two former south west journalism colleagues have reunited to expand the Plymouth PR firm text comms into Cornwall.

Anthony Abbott and Joe Taylor, who worked together for a local news agency, have joined forces to open a new branch of the PR firm in Truro, building on the success it has enjoyed in Devon.

Abbott, who was involved in the launch of the Eden Project, set up text comms in 2006 following a 26-year career as a journalist.

And now he has decided to expand into Cornwall, recruiting his old colleague to run the Truro office.

Taylor has a background in journalism, having worked for local newspapers in Cornwall and also the Mail on Sunday in London.

Abbott commented: “Having worked in Cornwall, I know what a tremendous place it is with a wide range of businesses across all sectors that could benefit from text comms’ PR and promotional expertise.

“I want to bring our special brand of PR to new clients in Cornwall and it is great to be working with Joe again. His extensive journalistic background and, in particular, his in-depth knowledge of Cornwall will be extremely beneficial in giving clients a first class PR service.”
