A graduate is being retained after the successful completion of her 12-month programme through Unlocking Cornish Potential (UCP).

Since joining holiday lettings specialist Cornish Cottages a year ago as marketing and communications manager through the UCP scheme, Sharon Sandercock has overseen a rebranding and marketing exercise.

In addition, she has been also been responsible for a complete website overhaul leading to the expansion of the company’s portfolio of properties and a 97% increase of website traffic.

Peter Collins, director at Cornish Cottages said: “The past 12 months have been incredibly successful for us; Sharon has implemented a structured marketing approach and has worked very hard to develop and build brand awareness.

“She has over achieved during her first year with Cornish Cottages, completing more than expected and always looking for more. She has turned out to be a real asset for Cornish Cottages Ltd and we would definitely consider using the UCP scheme for any future personnel that we require to support our continued expansion.”
