Truro-based photographer Simon Burt has won a contract with the Convergence Partnership Office, beating off competition from five other photographers and agencies.
Burt’s work with the Partnership Office, which deals with communication of the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) and ESF (European Social Fund) Convergence programmes, is due to start on September 1 and will continue through until the end of March 2012, guaranteeing him between 40 & 50 assignments.
He said: “I feel really proud to have won the contract over so many other great photographers. Winning this contract not only means that I have guaranteed work coming in for the next 18 months, but it also opens up opportunities for me to meet other people and showcase my work. I’d like to thank the Convergence office for giving me the opportunity to work with them.”
