Cornish company Tor Garden Buildings has announced it will be using the Redruth-based Clearwood UK to supply its windows and doors across its product range.

The Liskeard-based company, which designs and builds a range of Cornish-inspired sustainable timber-framed garden buildings, says the decision to work with Clearwood UK followed a long search for a supplier that could meet its own sustainable and eco-friendly ethos and quality standards.

Tor MD Sean Parker said: “The market for garden offices and studios is one that is set to grow significantly in the UK as more people opt to work from home or establish businesses that fit more closely with their lifestyle. Our range is aimed at the higher end of market, with high quality build specifications and a range of features such as curved moss sedum roofs and timber cladding sourced from within Cornwall and which is FSC approved.

“The windows and doors are not just a critical feature of the design across the range but have to stand the test of time and have the high build qualities that we strive for and we are delighted that in Clearwood UK, we are able to work with a company in Cornwall that shares the same high standards and has an environmental ethos that matches ours.”

Clearwood UK, which will shortly be opening a brand new showroom in Cardrew Way, Redruth as part of a development which will also see it change its name to Mumford and Wood (South West), will be providing Tor with a range of its casement windows and bi-folding doors, built specifically for Tor Garden Buildings. The companies will also be partnering on stands at county shows across the south west this year.
