A Hayle-based holiday home business is expanding to keep up with a growth in demand for its quality accommodation and bespoke services.

Cornish Gems has recruited Emma Newsham as an administrator to help business partners Julianne Shelton and Nadia Durrant, with the company’s property list doubling this year.

Shelton said: “Since we launched in 2007, Cornish Gems has seen huge success. Each year our property portfolio has grown and more people have been able to enjoy our luxury holiday homes and unique service.

“2009 has seen the business grow dramatically, with our portfolio doubling in size, so we needed to recruit someone who would ensure our high standards are maintained, with excellent organisational skills and outstanding customer care.”

Newsham, from Porthleven, joins Cornish Gems with a wealth of experience in customer service from working within the tourism sector.

Having worked previously within the leisure and tourism sector in Greece and France her last role in the UK was with a leading hotel in St.Ives.
