Redruth and Taunton-based Dash (South West) Ltd, is expanding its successful range of e-commerce websites to be launched this month.

The new websites, again designed by Creative Edge, complement its existing sites, which have attracted over 50,000 customers in the first two years and around 25,000 clicks a day.

In addition, the company has also won new contracts for the traditional wholesale distribution side of its business, including a deal with media giant News International in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset.

The new dashsw.co.uk will give customers a clear insight into the company’s range of facilities and services plus job vacancies, with dashnewsdirect.co.uk website enabling over 1500 newsagents across the region to communicate with Dash and monitor despatch and delivery times as well as being their main point of contact.

The family business that started by delivering newspapers in west Cornwall has now become one of the biggest independent printed media distributors and the biggest seller of Ordnance Survey maps online apart from Ordnance Survey website itself, demonstrating the company’s skill for adaptation and diversification over the years.

Stephen Dash, managing director Dash (South West) Ltd said: “Creative Edge’s work has proved invaluable to our business in developing what is and continues to be an increasingly successful side to our business – investing into e-commerce, retail and online logistics.

“We continue to go from strength to strength with the newspaper distribution business winning new contracts and expanding our market share. However, it’s crucial to keep an eye on the industry and other markets, making sure we are prepared for the future.”
