Business Cornwall held an electric (EV) and hybrid car event recently giving business people the opportunity to try out a range of vehicles and explore the newest and most talked about revolution of the motor vehicle.

Matthew Trevaskis, head of electric vehicles at the Renewable Energy Association and also director of ecodrive, was on hand to provide essential information about EVs and the associated infrastructure and evolution that is upon us.

Event organiser, Morveth Ward, commented: “The event provided a unique opportunity for people to browse and test drive a number of popular EVs and hybrids whilst in the company of Matt Trevaskis who provided in-depth insight and was able to answer any questions.

“It was an ideal chance to identify whether you are ready to make the switch, if you hadn’t already, and help decide what vehicle to go for.”

Being held at Perranporth Airfied meant that test drives were available in a controlled environment and vehicles like BMW’s i8 could be put through its paces. This is why Perranporth Airfield also makes for the ideal place to learn to drive and offers the unique opportunity for those as young as 14 to learn to drive.
