St Austell Crunchy Breakfast at Heligan

St Austell Bay Chamber’s third Crunchy Breakfast meeting last Friday enjoyed its biggest attendance to date.

A grey day in December failed to deter 55 business people who attended the breakfast held in Heligan’s tearooms.

“Crunchy Breakfasts are currently bi-monthly,” said committee member, Jacky Swain.

“We started them as St Austell’s Chamber initiative to improve local business networking opportunities. We’re absolutely delighted and amazed how quickly the popularity and reputation has grown”.

Speakers included Andy Parsons from the South West Lakes Trust, Jess Ratty from Crowdfunder, and Mark Thayre, Cornwall fund manager for the South West Investment Group.

The next Crunchy Breakfast will be held at Wheal Martyn Museum on February 5, with Malcolm Bell from Visit Cornwall as the main speaker.
