The Royal Cornwall Show gets underway this week (June 4-6), and for the first time ever it will be possible to keep in touch with all the action live online.
Cornish Living TV in association with SW1 Creative Marketing is broadcasting streamed television to the show website.
The team will have its mobile studio right next to the main ring along with a team of presenters going around the ground to capture a wide range of elements that make the show such a success every year.
Cornish Living TV’s Matt Roy said: “We are able to accomplish such a technological feat as bringing the show live to a computer on your desk because of advances in technology.
“Not only is it easier these days to get great quality internet in most places, but we can hook up from anywhere using satellite technology too.”
The show’s media and education manager, Steven Michell, is excited about the new development.
He said: “Moving with the times, embracing change and technology has ensured the show has remained relevant during its 222 year history.
“This service will be enjoyed by those who can’t make it to all three days of the show, so they can keep tabs on what’s going on.
“Those who have attended will be able to watch the action back, reliving it and catching up with anything they might have missed during their visit. There is, after all, so much to see and do at the show.”
