This week’s Cornwall Business Fair is embracing technology and encouraging delegates to network virtually as well as in person.

The event app is a new initiative for the fair this year and gives visitors access to the full schedule, speaker profiles and sponsor profiles.

And perhaps most importantly, it gives users the chance to connect with each other by sending a direct message – a fun way to arrange a meeting on the day. It can even scan business cards and save them to the device.

Also new for 2015 is a Twitter wall featuring all #cornwallbizfair tagged tweets.

Katie Wild, marketing and events co-ordinator at Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, said: “This app is an exciting addition to Cornwall Business Fair; rather than relying on an introduction or hoping to bump into someone, delegates have all attendee details at their fingertips and can make direct contact.”

Cornwall Business Fair takes place at the Eden Project this Wednesday (May 13); entry is free and there’s no need to book.

  1. A link for the app would be really handy as I have just searched Google Play Store for Cornwall Business Fair and it returned zero apps, or is this app only available on iDevices?
