HWIC to host national conference

The third national Rural Health Network Conference takes place at the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre (HWIC) in Truro this summer.

‘Challenging Times – A New Dimension?’ on June 11, will feature a speaker line up of national commentators and leading health professionals presenting on the current issues and challenges in relation to rural health.

Duncan Selbie, CEO of Public Health England, is the keynote speaker and will address the particular challenges of effective public health promotion to rural populations.

Lord Cameron of Dillington will talk about his recent rural proofing review for government and the implications for a new government to be elected in May. A series of interactive workshops will also be staged to showcase best practice in various rural health related fields.
