The organisers of the Cornwall Business Show have decided to increase its size and release another nine stands in response to popular demand.

Next year’s show (March 19) sold out sooner than expected, so managing director Andrew Weaver has secured extra space at the venue, the Royal Cornwall Showground.

An additional nine spaces are now available, taking the total number of stands to more than 90.

Weaver said: “I really am delighted by this level of demand – it clearly shows there is a hunger in the market for this type of professionally-run business event. Moving to the new venue and making it a one-day, not a two-day event as it was previously, clearly carried an element of risk. But our decision was obviously a good one.

“I am keen, though, to maintain the right balance among the different sectors at the show. So for these additional stands, for example, I would be really pleased to secure some more marketing and PR firms along with another commercial and fleet vehicle dealership.

“I am also still keen to expand the Feel Good Healthy Workplace Zone. The concept behind this is to provide a showcase for businesses interested in improving their employees’ health both in and outside of the workplace.

“Clearly this sort of enlightened employer is becoming more common, especially somewhere like Cornwall which attracts many people who are interested in maintaining a good work-life balance.

“This might include spas, wellbeing centres, therapists and even sports centres and gyms.”

The Cornwall Business Show 2015 will take place on Thursday, March 19, at the Royal Cornwall Showground. Pirate FM is the event’s broadcast media partner.
