One of the oldest manor houses in Cornwall is hosting a special event in September, to affirm its position as a leading wedding venue of choice.

800-year old Pengenna Manor, on the outskirts of Wadebridge, is presenting ‘A Most Curious Wedding Experience’ on Sunday, September 14, where over 50 handpicked suppliers will be treating guests to “a day to remember”.

Spanning the acre of grounds and gardens of the manor, the event will feature four different wedding themes ‘Glamorous’, ‘Countryside’, ‘Bohemian’ and ‘Festival’.

Richard Blewett, owner of Pegenna Manor which has been in his family for over 150 years, said: “Every wedding that we arrange at Pengenna Manor is bespoke. With such a wide range of choices for everything from marquees to food, we wanted to give couples a taste of what’s possible, without the need for them to attend lots of different events.

“We hope that this will give anyone involved in arranging a wedding food for thought, as well as showcasing the diverse skills and facilities that our suppliers can provide at Pengenna Manor.”

During the day, visitors will be able to see flower displays, stationery, cakes and table arrangements, while enjoying entertainment which will range from magicians to fire-breathers, opera singers to Céilidh bands – all matched to their themed tent.

The event is free for guests to attend but places are limited.
