Just a few places remain on the final workshop for this year’s Ignite £120k business start-up competition.

Ignite 2014, delivered by Oxford Innovation as part of the ERDF funded Coaching for High Growth programme, continues to search for innovative entrepreneurs in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who plan to start a new business or have been trading for less than a year.

A series of sell out two-day workshops has been running throughout the summer and spaces for the final workshop, at Trethorne Golf Club in Launceston on August 19-20, are filling rapidly.

Entrepreneurs who have attended the Ignite Experience workshops have benefited from a wealth of practical business guidance and leading edge support from Oxford Innovation’s coaches while networking with like-minded people.

The events are interactive, informative and provide the perfect insight into what Ignite competition judges will be looking for.

Following the workshops, entrants will use the knowledge gained to create and submit a three minute elevator pitch for their idea or start-up business.

A shortlist of finalists will be drawn up from the video pitches with a winner chosen in November by a judging panel made up of Cornish business leaders.

The winner will receive a prize package worth £120k including £25,000 cash plus comprehensive support from well-established Cornish companies.
