The Cornwall Brewers Alliance will be on hand to offer even the most discerning beer enthusiast advice, tastings and of course beer.

Louise Treseder, from The Driftwood Spars Brewery, said: “The Cornwall Brewers Alliance has been established 12 months now.

“We have one common goal, to promote the incredible brewing industry that we have down here in Cornwall.

“Many will see us as competing against each other, but in fact we work together far closer than you would imagine.

“By taking a Stand at the Royal Cornwall Show we are hoping to demonstrate how close we are and also how passionate we are about beer and brewing.”

Visitors to the stand will find out what really goes into beer, find out about different hops and how they affect the flavour and see touch and smell the raw ingredients.

“We are also hoping to meet barley farmers to talk about their crop to try and forge better local connections there.”

All Cornish breweries are members of the alliance, but on this occasion there are 11 who are working collaboratively, including St Austell, Sharps, Penpont, Driftwood Spars, Rebel, Padstow, Castle, Cornish Crown, Granite Rock, Bude Brewery and Atlantic.

The Cornwall Brewers Alliance can be found at stand 76 at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show where they will be open between 11am and 5pm daily.
