A host of international female business leaders will be congregating in Truro next month to share and consider cross-channel opportunities thanks to B-New, the innovative women’s network created to foster and drive successful business between the UK and France.

B-New is an international programme, supported by INTERREG IVA, which addresses the issue of women’s enterprise by building upon different experiences and best practices.

The free conference at the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre on April 1 is one of a number of events created to bring French and English businesswomen together and to provide a range of speakers and workshops to enable new trade between the cross-channel companies.

Created and led by Network Cornwall, in collaboration with DPN (Digital Peninsula Network), the conference will feature speeches from John Pollard – Leader of Cornwall Council and Rhona Gardiner from PR & marketing company Excess Energy Communications.

There will be training workshops in digital marketing and managing family/business commitments.

Female entrepreneurs from start-ups and established businesses are encouraged to attend.

Miranda Adams, networks coordinator of B-New, said: “The energy and drive behind B-New is now completely coming to the fore with a number of successful contracts and trade opportunities in action.

“We have so much in common with our French colleagues, with many of the female business leaders in France working in a very similar way to our colleagues here in Cornwall. It will be great to have everyone in the same room to allow the invaluable face-to-face networking to happen and to start the next set of export and trade opening conversations.”

The B-New event is open to any businesswomen, whether they are current members or not.
