There are just a few spaces left for Hall for Cornwall Networks Club’s next event, during which Cornwall College’s training manager Helen Opie will give a presentation focused on building a happier workplace.

The next HfC Networks Club event will be held on September 20 (3pm-5pm) in Hall for Cornwall’s Assembly room.

Helen Opie is training manager at Cornwall College Business and a business owner herself. Drawing on a wealth of experience, Helen will share some thought-provoking theories which demonstrate the value of understanding different personality types and management styles, in order to create an efficient, motivated workforce.

According to Opie, managers get things done through other people, but only a good manager gets them to do it willingly. Knowing how to read and manage a workforce comprising many different personality types is a fine art, and she will provide delegates with advice and tips on how to deal with different people, differently.

Delegates can enjoy a pasty and a pint, as well as the chance to rub shoulders with the cast of Evita. The two-hour event offers ample opportunity to network with representatives from a range of local businesses, and all participants will be provided with a delegate list on arrival.

The event is close to being fully booked, but there are a few spaces left. Email Katie Hill  to secure your place.
