In addition to the business to business exhibition, the Cornwall Business Show will also include six free to attend seminars and a free evening networking event with a high profile business speaker.

The show will also be the first event in the south west to use the newly-developed event app by Noodle Live, which is free to use for anyone pre-registering to attend the event.

The seminar schedule comprises of; Tendering with the Public Sector; Why Businesses in Cornwall Are World Digital Leaders; Business Cornwall: Face to Face LIVE; Effectiveness in business, what is it and how to achieve it; Pirate FM: Value based business; and Cornwall Innovation: Making money from IP.

From 6pm on Wednesday October 2, the Cornwall Business Show evening networking event will be taking place. International business expert, John Fontana, President of Yankee Candle International will take to the stage and discuss the challenges small businesses and entrepreneurs can face when growing their business.

This will include looking at recruitment, key roles in the business and planning for growth. He will also give valuable insights into Yankee Candles’ strategy for growth, looking for ‘white space’ in the market, how to find it, how to beat your competitors to it and how to maximise the opportunities this presents.

The evening networking event will start at 6pm with drinks and nibbles. The presentation will start at 6.30pm and will be followed by time for networking until 8.30pm. Full details of the event, including how to register to attend, can be found on the Cornwall Business Show website.

Event sponsor and director of the Innovation Centres, Bernard Curren said, “This is the second year Cornwall Innovation has sponsored this event. Last year it was a huge success and something we were very proud to be associated with. This year looks set to be bigger and better again.”

During the two days, visitors will also have the chance to find new business contacts at the Cornwall Business Show Connection Wall, effectively a matchmaking service for businesses. Here, you will be able to leave a request for services you’re looking for and other businesses can then leave their contact details and suggest how they may be able to help you.

The Cornwall Business Show is free to attend, this includes the exhibition, seminars and the networking event.
