Hall for Cornwall (HfC) is trialling a new style of networking event, which features a Cornish cream tea and even the chance to bump into a celebrity or two.

HfC’s Cornwall Networks Club was previously held monthly at the theatre. However, the Hall’s new development team hopes to improve the benefits to local businesses by switching to two events per year and offering a networking environment like no other.

The next event is on May 10; delegates can enjoy a Cornish cream tea and a glass of sparkling wine, before hearing from local businesswoman Claire Thayers, who will deliver a presentation focusing on the merits of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Perhaps the most unique aspect of the networking event, however, is that the invitation is extended to the cast members of Birdsong, showing throughout that week at the theatre.

Development assistant at HfC, Katie Hill, said: “It’s not every day that a Cornish networking event plays host to some of the nation’s top actors – we hope this will add a little sparkle to the event and bring the theatre to life for the delegates.”

The networking event will be held in HfC’s Assembly Room from 3.30pm-6pm on May 10. For more information contact Katie Hill at Hall for Cornwall.
