Collaborate Cornwall Conference

Cornwall businesses have “a clear advantage over more disparate parts of the world” thanks to the close-knit community they are a part of.

That’s the opinion of Nick Jankel, a keynote speaker at a forthcoming conference aimed at encouraging local organisations to work together to create new business opportunities.

The Collaborate Cornwall Conference, at the new Lighthouse Cinema in Newquay on January 19, will cover topics including innovation in business, productivity, accessing new markets, growing sales, managing capacity and resource efficiency

Leadership coach and social entrepreneur Jankel, founder of WECREATE, is clear on the advantages that a joint approach can bring. “Collaboration relies on a number of important conditions, chief of which are trust and common purpose,” he said.

“Business people in Cornwall are perfectly placed to build on their mutual understanding and history of working together to forge collaborations that create mutual value for themselves and the community. This is the kind of win-win-win that the imaginative and committed can always find – and the west country has those qualities in spades.”
