Accountant and business adviser Winter Rule is running a series of free business breakfast seminars around the theme of ‘delivering business growth’ during the first half of 2011.

The seminars are part of the firm’s Cornwall Professional Briefings series and give owner-managers of SMEs in Cornwall the chance to raise real issues affecting their business and discuss them with fellow business people and professional advisers.

The series will start on January 27 with the topic Strategy and Business Structure, and will include ideas for mapping out a five-year plan and the benefits of doing so, and an examination of the legal and tax implications of different business structures and consideration of structure that is ‘fit for purpose’ for your plans.

Further monthly seminars at Winter Rule’s offices in Truro, will cover related business growth topics of raising finance, team remuneration and reward, growth through acquisition and succession.

Peter Penneycard, Winter Rule’s business tax partner, said: “A recent survey found that 82% of businesses in the south west are planning for growth in the next two years and our own experience shows that there are clear signs of optimism, so we have geared our seminars to support growth-minded owner-managers.”

The events start at 8am and finish at 10.30am and are held at the Winter Rule office in Truro. Places are limited. For more details on the January 27 event or those scheduled between now and June, please contact Amy Smith.
