Follett Stock’s dispute resolution team is holding a round of workshops to advise businesses how prepare to recover lower-scale debts.
The workshops will outline the main steps that must be taken to prepare and issue your claim, what to expect leading up to the trial and how you should conduct yourself and present the case at trial itself.
The topics covered are aimed at assisting credit controllers or business owners/managers in adapting their credit control policies so that they are court compliant and to gain the confidence to issue claims if that becomes necessary.
Follett Stock’s Lisa Haywood said: “Times are hard and companies are taking longer to pay, it is crucial that businesses have an appropriate debt recovery procedure in place. Many put off instructing solicitors for smaller debts (under £5k). I hope these workshops will outline to businesses just how easy the process is for them to pursue the smaller claims themselves.”
The workshops are being held at Follett Stock’s Truro Office on May 13 and 20. To book a place email Elouise Yeo or call her on 01872 241700.
