Bodmin-based Microtest, one of the UK’s top suppliers of clinical IT systems for the medical profession, has sent a team to Scotland this week for a keynote event in the medical calendar, the leading conference on eHealth in the country.

Microtest will be giving a presentation detailing its vision for the future of healthcare in Scotland to an audience that will include Scottish GPs and practice managers, as well as leading figures from NHS Scotland.

The conference, ‘New Contracts – Better eHealth,’ is hosted by two professional organisations which together help to promote the improved use of information technology by Scottish GPs, in order to provide better healthcare for patients – Scottish Information Management in Practice (SCIMP) and the Scottish National Users’ Group (SNUG).

Microtest’s MD, Chris Netherton, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to meet with the leading medical practitioners in Scotland and to be able to present our view on some of the key issues facing the profession over the coming years.

“Digital solutions such as those provided by Microtest have a really important role to play in improving and enhancing patient care, while also helping GP practices to work more efficiently and effectively.

“Medical professionals in Scotland have always been among the most enthusiastic advocates of eHealth, and this important event will help to showcase some of the very latest thinking in this area.”
