Schoolcomms will be showcasing its new messaging app at the British Educational Training and Technology Show (BETT) in London next week.

Schoolcomms School Gateway App on iPhone

The Bude-based technology company provides online parent payment and communication solutions for schools across the UK.

Its systems include text messaging, attendance tracking, cashless payment services and now a fully interactive and free to download mobile app, School Gateway.

Schoolcomms MD, Tim Perkin said: “Annually, we estimate that primary schools spend more than £6.5 million on sending text messages; secondary schools spend over £2 million.

“The number of Smartphones in the UK is steadily rising – roughly 60% of adults with school-age children have a Smartphone, so School Gateway could easily save UK schools more than £5 million every year.”

The trade show runs from January 30 to February 2, at ExCel London.
