Truro-based communications specialist Datasharp has just installed its largest Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) unit to date.

The Borri unit will provide the customer, Exeter-based tile manufacturer Original Style, with 18,000 watts of uninterrupted power, more than enough to cater for all its IT and office UPS requirements.

Owen Phillips, IT manager at Original Style, commented: “The unit itself is fantastic. This UPS solution gives us complete peace of mind knowing that we now have the security in place to ensure that we are protected against any power issue.”

Datasharp’s technical director, Allan Williams, added: “We’re delighted Original Style could benefit from another of our great solutions, the Borri unit offers security like no other unit.”

As well as the UPS unit, Datasharp’s engineers also supplied Original Style with a 100 seat Siemens MX OpenScape System (offering complete unified communications), Cisco Power over Ethernet switches (providing power for all their data & IP phones), three ADSL circuits (linking three remote retail units), 15 SIP trunks (with all existing numbers ported) and a 30-agent call centre package.
