Web mapping and bespoke software developer, altcom Ltd, has teamed up with sustainable transport specialist, CycleCity Guides, to provide a full online mapping service for off-road cycle trails in the UK and Europe.
The two companies worked together previously in 2010 and created the 1SW Adventure Cycle Map for the south west’s protected landscapes.
The new package is based on the earlier capabilities of the system and has been developed with added features including surveying, acquisition and quality control of all key trail data.
Altcom director John Cowles said: “The collaboration with CycleCity Guides has enabled us to develop a full service offering including data acquisition and verification to web and mobile app deployment.
“MapMentorCMS is a powerful web services platform which can be tailored meet online e-mapping requirements, making it possible to map and interact with location based data like never before.”
