ABG Design has completed the signage design for Europe’s largest municipal park.
At over 640 acres, Heaton Park is the largest municipal park in Europe. It is one of the most popular destinations in Manchester with circa 1.8 million visits per year. It offers a variety of high quality leisure activities, and an “escape into Manchester’s countryside in the city”.
The development of Heaton Park is a major cultural regeneration project for the city and an integral part of Manchester’s parks strategy.
ABG Design was the successful agency to win the signage design tender and has worked in partnership with the Heaton Park team to design the new visitor signage and orientation maps.
“The result is a vibrant set of entrance signage that welcomes the people of Manchester and works in harmony with the park’s new brand,” said ABG managing director, Howard Miles.
