Falmouth University is launching a range of online writing courses aimed at companies and career-focused individuals across Cornwall looking to sharpening up their communication skills.

The School of Writing and Journalism, based at the Penryn campus, will run three flexible, short, online writing courses over a ten-week period for enterprises and individuals looking to study around work and other commitments.

The courses will allow participants to acquire a practical portfolio of skills that can be applied to future business development and career opportunities.

Commencing on February 23, all three courses will help individuals hone their writing skills. Participants will be expected to commit around ten hours a week to the course, allowing them to learn key practical writing skills, such as the importance of structure, audience and tone of voice.

Rob Brown, Head of Journalism at Falmouth University, said: “This is a crash course for companies and career-focused individuals keen to sharpen up their communication skills and thereby help both themselves and Cornwall to grow and prosper.”
