One of Cornwall’s longest-serving PR practitioners is closing down his business to concentrate on his new speciality as a ghost writer, writing autobiographies for “everyday people”.
Falmouth-based Mike Truscott launched Golden Replay Biographies just over a year ago and has quickly built it up to a full-time occupation.
A former local newspaper journalist, Mike began PR work under his own name in 1984, later trading as Westcountry PR Services and specialising in publicity for small and medium-sized Cornish businesses.
He said: “Now I have written my last press release and bid farewell to my last PR client.
“That’s been a wrench because I’ve greatly enjoyed promoting so many enterprising business people, but I felt I needed a new direction after so many years and I’m glad to say I find biography-writing even more fascinating and rewarding!”
Truscott has been working closely in recent months with Eventy – Marketing & PR, which has now taken over a number of his clients.
