A Falmouth-based design and exhibition company has risen to the challenge of making it easier for patients, visitors and staff to navigate Cornwall’s largest hospital.

20/20 Displays won the contract to redesign, manufacture and install all exterior signs across the hospital site at Royal Cornwall Hospital site in Truro.

The win came hot on the heels of the completion of the company’s £220k redesign and fit out of the Bude Tourist Information Centre and Canal Visitor Centre.

“Good quality wayfinding signage that is easy to understand and to follow is vital in any large site,” said 20/20’s managing director, Jaimie Sibert.

“But at a hospital where it is important for people to move around quickly, easily and calmly it becomes imperative that the signage is up to the task.

“People want to be reassured that they are going in the right direction, so we’re really pleased to have been able to use our 10 years’ experience to help RCHT achieve that aim.”

As part of the on-going commitment from 20/20, it will be visiting the site every six months to monitor and ensure that the signage is maintained to a high standard.
