An array of business support organisations from across Cornwall will be visiting the Isles of Scilly later this month for a special one-day business fair.

The event on St Mary’s (April 22), hosted by ERDF Convergence-funded Outset Cornwall, has evolved from its continuing work on the Islands since the programme launched in 2009.

Outset will be joined by the South West Manufacturing Advisory Service, Grow Cornwall, Cornwall Development Company, Federation for Small Business, UK Trade and Industry and the European Centre for Environment and Human Health; in addition to existing support services on the Islands.

The teams welcome anyone on the Islands interested in starting or growing their business to come along and discover the wide range of funded support on offer for 2013.

Kate McEwen, Outset’s head of south west operations, said: “The Islands, although beautiful, have their own unique challenges when it comes to launching and growing new businesses.

“Events like the St Mary’s Business fair enable us to bring together all the funded support under one roof to act as a catalyst for not just more new business start-ups, but to also for the growth of existing businesses.”

The event will run from 10.30am through until 3.30pm, and will be held at the Council Chambers on St Mary’s. The fair is free to attend and open to all. For more information, please contact Outset Cornwall on 0800 9174 324.
