An independent survey to assess the demand for services out of Newquay Cornwall Airport has been launched today.

RDC Aviation, working in partnership with Cornwall Development Company and Newquay Cornwall Airport, is undertaking this survey to better understand travel habits and gather opinions on air services to and from Cornwall.

The survey data will support the airport’s discussions in attracting new routes and airlines to the airport, following the success of recently announced easyJet flights to Liverpool and London Southend starting in the summer.

The overall study will consider the future demand for air services, including leisure and business traffic, and how Cornish residents are currently travelling to key destinations in the UK and overseas.

The airport’s MD, Al Titterington, said: “This survey will help to assess the potential for air services and the information will be used to directly support our conversations with airlines.

“It is critical that the local community comes together to demonstrate that they support the airport and will use these new services, if they were to start in the future.”

“We hope that as many local people and businesses as possible complete the survey as this will enable us to target our efforts on routes with the best potential”
