Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC) has strengthened its commitment to local businesses with the appointment of a new business support manager.
Marian Bond will support the six universities and colleges that make up the CUC partnership in their ongoing mission to help Cornwall’s businesses prosper through access to new knowledge, specialist expertise and world class facilities.
Bond has worked in a variety of senior management roles for small and medium sized businesses in the engineering, publishing, distribution and retail industries. Most recently she worked as maternity cover inward investment manager for Cornwall Pure Business.
CUC director, Dr Sue Brownlow, welcomed the appointment and said: “The relationship between higher education and business is a top priority for CUC so I am delighted that we have someone with Marian’s tremendous experience and enthusiasm in this key role. Between them our partner universities and colleges represent a phenomenal resource for Cornwall’s businesses. Working closely with Business Link and other partners, Marian will help ensure that businesses are able to tap into this wealth of expertise and support.”
