The entire team at Truro-based PR and social consultancy, Wild West Communications, is set to take part in the Sleep Out event at the Eden Project next month.

Eden will be one of a number of locations for the Sleep Out event taking place throughout the UK on November 9, with the aim of raising over £1 million to support some of the thousands of people who experience homelessness in the UK every year.

15 members of the Wild West team will be raising money for the St Petroc’s Society by spending the night under the stars, with nothing more than a sleeping bag and cardboard mat to keep each of them warm.

“Street homelessness in Cornwall is high. It’s about the fifth highest in the country and we can all do something to reduce this very unnecessary statistic,” said Kate Wild, founder and MD of Wild West Communications.

“We’re sleeping out at Eden to raise both money and awareness for St Petroc’s. With negligible statutory provision to help the homeless, St Petroc’s provides invaluable accommodation, support, training and resettlement for single homeless people.”

Wild West hopes to raise £2k for St Petroc’s. You can donate to its Local Giving page at.

For those who’d like to take part in the event themselves, please visit Eden’s website for information on booking a place.
