Summer Masked Ball charity donations

Two Cornish charities have benefited to the tune of more than £1k thanks to the directors of the annual Summer Masked Ball.

Masked Ball director Kelvin Batt presented a cheque for £800 to The Lizard CHILD Trust as well as a payment of £300 for the Pants Cancer Charity, based in Falmouth.

He said: “We feel strongly about being able to help local charities. We also put a lot of hard work into the community food festival at Porthleven.”

The monies donated to The Lizard CHILD Trust will go towards the Helping Hand Award..”

The Masked Ball celebrated its tenth anniversary last month with 6,000 revellers enjoying three days of music at a cliff top location near Porthleven.

The event has grown from just 250 guests in a single marquee, to a business with an annual turnover in excess of £500k.
