Staff at Fitzgerald Lighting in Bodmin are ‘wigging-up’ for children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent’s, Wig Wednesday.

Staff of the lighting company raised £126 last year and will be looking to surpass that figure as they prepare, once again, to don wigs on May 20 and raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer.

Fitzgerald Lighting’s Demelza Udy said: “As an organisation we are keen to do our bit for charity and have full management backing to do this.

“One of our employees approached us to ask if we could participate in the Wig Wednesday event as her grandson had just been given the all clear from a long battle with cancer and her family were looking to give something back for the wonderful support they were given.”

Thousands of people across the UK will be donning wigs to raise funds on May 20. To find out how your business can join them, click here.
