The team of four staff had hoped to raise £500, but in fact raised £1157 by the day of the swim. Sponsorship continues to roll in and the total now stands at £1782 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Despite challenging sea conditions during the event on Sunday, July 21, after-sales manager James Cryan completed the elite swim in under half and hour, whilst other team members completed it within 40 and 45 minutes.

The team also comprised of client support manager Kate Cozens and marketing co-ordinators Amy Teubert and Katy Austin.

Austin, who put together the team, said: “It was a pleasure to take part in such a great local event for a fantastic cause which is close to many of our hearts. It’s been a brilliant experience for all the members of the team, who have been training together for many months.”

Having experience a record 52% growth this year, the company will be donating 7.5% of net profit to charity through the Reflex Foundation, amounting to £48k.

The Padstow to Rock swim has raised more than £150k for charity since 2007.
