Environment charity Zero Carbon World is offering free electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to suitable locations in Cornwall.

The charging stations are best suited to places where drivers will naturally be spending a few hours, the time it takes to charge a vehicle, such as hotels and businesses.

R-ECO, a Cornish Renewable Energy Co-operative, is the locally-accredited installer. R-ECO member, Natasha Diop, said: “Cornwall attracts visitors from all over Europe, where they are well ahead of us in terms of sustainable technologies.

“Having an EV charging point installed at your hotel or leisure complex is an important marketing opportunity for European tourists, as well as forward-thinking Brits, looking for a more sustainable holiday.”

For more information about getting a free charging station, contact the R-ECO office on 01872 870875.

    REALLY……

How far would a european get from before having to charge up………. Just how long would it take for a tourist from Berlin to get to Bodmin (including charging time)……..
