Ron Abernethy has been accepted to go on Havard’s Advanced Management Programme, said to be the most intense and prestigious of all Harvard’s executive training courses.

James St Aubyn, chairman of St Aubyn Estates, commented: “We recognise the energy and impetus that Rob has brought to the organisation since he joined in 2008.

“We believe that this training will help reinforce St Aubyn Estates on his return, because of his time spent in an environment that will draw on the best of current business thinking in the company of other highly able and motivated executives.”

Abernethy, who joined St Aubyn Estates in 2008 as director of the Godolphin Company after a successful ten year career in the Brigade of Gurkhas and five years in general management at Control Risks, said: “It was a huge privilege to not only have the opportunity to apply but then to have been accepted on this flagship course in Boston.

“I am extremely excited about the challenges it will present and the intensive bout of learning that will not only develop me personally and professionally but will allow significant strategic thought to be brought back to the organisation as we move into the next phase of our growth cycle. ”

The seven-week course begins in early April.
