The Greenbank Fal River Festival will play host to its first charity ball during this year’s events.

The black tie ball, which takes place on Friday, June 3, is being organised by the festival’s title sponsor, the Greenbank Hotel.

It is being held to raise money for the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust.

The Greenbank’s general manager, Kearan McVey, said: “Each year the festival raises huge sums of money for charity and community groups across Cornwall and we wanted to do something for one of the county’s most vital services.

“The Air Ambulance does an amazing job and we hope the evening will raise valuable funds to help support them in their mission.

“We’re also pleased to announce that the Cornwall Air Ambulance is our chosen charity for the next year and we will be doing a whole host of events and activities to raise even more money.”

Greenbank Fal River Festival director, Toby Budd, added: “It’s great that the first charity ball will be held this year and that it will be raising money for the Air Ambulance.

“The festival is growing year on year and it’s nice that we are able to extend the list of events, such as this one, that are taking place.”

Tickets cost £30 per person and can be bought by contacting Zara or Duncan at the Greenbank Hotel on 01326 312440. The menu and further information can be found here.

The Greenbank Fal River Festival runs from Friday, May 27 to Sunday, June 5 and will feature over 150 events that celebrate life on and around the river Fal.
