Outdoor adventure centre BF Adventure has received a £70k funding boost to improve its facilities for disabled children and young people.

Awarded by the national programme Aiming High for Disabled Children, the money will allow the charity to build a specially designed climbing wall, a new zip wire, a fully accessible and sensory nature trail and to buy specialist activity equipment.

BF Adventure, based at Longdowns near Penryn, has also secured additional funding towards a new shower and toilet block with a disabled access changing place.

Chief executive Tony Hogg said: “Receiving this valuable funding from Aiming High for Disabled Children is a big step forward in developing accessible facilities at our Goodygrane site.”
