New Cornwall Air Ambulance trust shop in Penzance

The Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust is to open a new shop in Penzance to help support its fundraising efforts. It has taken a new lease on an 871 sq ft ground floor retail unit in 6 Green Market.

The shop will stock a range of good quality pre-owned clothing, bric a brac and household goods. All profits will go towards keeping the Cornwall Air Ambulance flying and serving the community. The Trust is now undertaking a fit out of the shop, which they will open in mid November.

Paula Martin, chief executive at the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust commented: “The Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust is entirely reliant on public donations and fundraising. We need to raise between £25k and £30k every week to keep our air ambulance helicopter flying.

“Our new shop will be vital to our fundraising efforts and we hope will be well supported by the people of Penzance.”

Tim Smart, head of agency, Cornwall at Alder King commented: “The Trust required a well located retail unit in the town. 6 Green Market suited their requirements and has the benefit of being close to a range of public car parks.

“The shop also has a rear and basement storage area, which will provide room for the Trust to store and sort the donations they receive.”
