Koru Kayaking was named Best Business at the inaugural St Agnes Business Awards.

In total, seven awards were up for grabs at the event held at the Driftwood Spars, with Koru Kayaking also picking up the Best Customer Experience accolade.

Kathy Morris, chair of the St Agnes Chamber of Commerce and one of the judges, said: “We were overwhelmed by the quality of entrant and we had 13 shortlisted businesses so it was really tough to judge, but shows what a talented business community we have here in St Agnes.

“Great business is done in St Agnes and the chamber supports that great business.”

Headforwards director, Toby Parkins, was also one of the judges. He added: “It was very tight as all the businesses were really good. It is wonderful to see a thriving community like St Agnes with such high standards of businesses.”

The evening started with welcome drinks and we were treated to a fascinating Key Note Speech by Matthew Thomson, CEO of Fifteen Cornwall and Cornwall Food Foundation who also presented the awards.
