A long-standing Cornish networking group has gained the backing of seven Cornish companies for its awards ceremony in November.

The Hub, which has been running networking events with a difference since 2002, has obtained sponsorship for all six award categories over four months before the annual event.

“The Hub Awards are always a favourite of ours – they recognise the dynamic, exciting businesses doing amazing things in Cornwall.” said Katie Wild, marketing and events manager at Cornwall Chamber of Commerce.

“As an organisation which inspires, connects and supports businesses in the Duchy we are proud to sponsor the Cornish Business of the Year award and help give recognition to a very deserving winner.”

The Hub Awards are a momentous day within the networking calendar, as over 140 people come together to celebrate the best of Cornish business across a number of different industries.

Amy Weeks, of The Hub committee, said: “The Hub Awards are open to every business in Cornwall and their employees; that’s what makes them special.

“Each year we’re overwhelmed with the quality of the applications; Cornwall’s bursting at the seams with talent and we can’t wait to receive this year’s entries.”

The Hub events including the Hub Awards are organised entirely by volunteers. All sponsorship money is invested in the awards and allows the Hub to continue to offer networking events with a difference. Sponsorship packages for the Hub Award ceremony itself are still available.

The awards will open on Monday 25th July with the following categories all taking applications either via a nomination from a colleague or an application for yourself.
