The shortlist has been announced for the thirteenth annual Hub Awards.

Businesses and entrepreneurs from across Cornwall have been selected in the award’s six categories: Best New Start-up; Best Creative Project; Cornish Business Leader of the Year; Employee of the Year; Best Use of Digital; Best Cornish Business.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony taking place on Thursday, November 26 at the Falmouth Hotel.

Awards co-ordinator, Becky Palmer, said: “We had so many excellent applications this year, which made the initial shortlisting incredibly difficult.

“After much debate, we’ve got a shortlist we are all really proud of, so it is now in the safe hands of our skilled judges.”

The judging will take place this Friday (Nov 6) and Monday, November 9, by a panel of business experts comprising of Toni Eyriey from Business Cornwall, David McGuire from Lungfish, Mark Smith from Birmingham City University, Amanda Winwood from Spiezia Organics and Stafford Sumner from Jarrang.

The team will also be joined by TRAC Services director, Sarah Trethowan, who was named Business Leader of the Year at last year’s awards.
