Sponsoring this year’s awards are Oxford Innovation, Imerys, Stralfors, Tamar Food, NISP, Business Cornwall magazine, Airvolution Energy Limited, Cornwall Sustainable Building Trust (CSBT), Lantoom Quarry, South West Manufacturing Advisory Service (SWMAS), Community Energy Plus (CEP), South West Water, Dingle Brothers, Midas, REG Wind Power and the Cornwall and Isle of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership.

Other supporters include the Environment Agency, Cornwall Council, Red Snapper Design, MPAD, Idenna and Redfuse Internet.

Gitty Ankers MBE, senior environment officer for the Environment Agency Devon and Cornwall and awards organiser, said: “We’re so grateful for the businesses that support the awards, and it’s wonderful to welcome some new faces to the list of sponsors this year.”

The organisers also unveiled that for the first in the award’s history, businesses will be able to complete applications online.

Veryan Jones, Cornwall Council’s sustainable development officer and one of the event organisers, said: “The online application will simplify the process for a number of businesses.

“Previously we’ve had applications ranging from one page to hundreds of pages. The new system will give everyone the same opportunity and we believe will speed up the application process, which will hopefully encourage more businesses to enter.”

The closing date for entries is Sunday, October 6. Details of the award ceremony, which will be held in December, will be unveiled shortly.
